Fleece

Fleece is a soft, brushed synthetic fabric, usually polyester, that holds warmth while staying light and quick to dry. This collection on AFTERSOIL holds the fleece pieces from independent labels: a high-collar fleece jacket, a half-zip windbreaker with a full fleece lining, and a hooded windbreaker with a honeycomb fleece-process texture.

How fleece is used here

  • As the jacket: ENSHADOWER's spliced high-collar fleece mixes two fabric textures with double-stitched seams and an adjustable hem.
  • As a lining: ORGANIC EMOTION's half-zip windbreaker pairs a water- and oil-repellent outer with a full fleece lining.
  • As a surface: an ENSHADOWER hooded windbreaker uses a fleece process to give its fabric a honeycomb texture.

Why wear fleece

Fleece is light, holds warmth and dries quickly. On its own it suits cool, dry days; under a shell it becomes the warm middle layer for wind and rain. A high collar, like the one on the ENSHADOWER fleece, closes the gap at the neck where wind gets in.

Layering and labels
